About

Welcome to tricitiestnguide.com — your friendly, growing hub for everything happening in the beautiful Tri-Cities area of Northeast Tennessee (and a bit of Southwest Virginia too)!

We’re proud to serve Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Elizabethton, Greeneville, Jonesborough, Piney Flats, Blountville, Rogersville, Boones Creek, and all the wonderful surrounding communities that make this Appalachian region so special. Whether you’re a longtime local, new to the area, visiting, or just exploring what our corner of East Tennessee has to offer, this site is designed to help you stay connected, informed, and engaged.

Our Mission

At Tri-Cities TN Guide, our goal is simple: to be the go-to online reference for events, activities, community happenings, and helpful resources across the Tri-Cities region. We believe in highlighting the best of local life — from festivals and outdoor adventures in the shadow of the Appalachians, to music scenes, family-friendly outings, arts & culture, food, and everyday community connections.

We started with a focus on supporting those who need it most. Our Helps section (tricitiestnguide.com/helps) offers a curated, downloadable list of resources for individuals experiencing homelessness or facing hardship — covering food assistance, housing support, utilities, medical and mental health help, employment, education, and more community services. It’s one small way we’re working to make a positive difference right here at home.

What’s Next?

We’re just getting started and excited about what’s ahead:

  • Events & Activities Hub — A growing calendar and guide to concerts, festivals, markets, sports, outdoor recreation, family events, and more across Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, and beyond.
  • The Boones Creek Beacon — Our brand-new local newsletter launching soon! Focused on the Boones Creek area and nearby neighborhoods in Johnson City, it will bring hyper-local news, spotlights, events, and stories straight to your inbox. Think community updates, hidden gems, neighbor features, and ways to get involved.
  • Local Spotlight Mailers — In the pipeline! We’re exploring physical and digital “spotlight” features to celebrate local businesses, nonprofits, events, and people who make the Tri-Cities shine.

This project is community-driven and will grow with input from folks like you. If you have event suggestions, resource updates, story ideas, or feedback, we’d love to hear from you — reach out anytime!
