Map shows Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, KY. Times vary from Kingsport and Bristol.

Cumberland Falls earns its nickname — a broad plunge into the Cumberland River gorge with mist visible from the main overlook.

On full-moon nights near peak flow, a moonbow can appear in the spray — one of the few predictable natural moonbows in the hemisphere.

Highlights

  • Cumberland Falls main overlook
  • Moonbow viewing (full moon, clear nights)
  • Eagle Falls trail — side cascade hike
  • Cumberland River gorge trails
