Pigeon Forge is the entertainment strip; Gatlinburg is the walkable mountain village at the park entrance. Most Tri-Cities visitors pick one as a base and sample the other.

Dollywood alone is a full day. For a lighter trip, combine Anakeesta or Ober Gatlinburg with an evening stroll on the Parkway.

Afternoon
Second attraction or scenic drive

Short hop between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Optional: Sugarlands Visitor Center at park edge.

Evening
Parkway stroll

Lights and shops if staying late; otherwise head back via I-40 before night construction zones.

  • Buy timed tickets online for Dollywood and major attractions.
