High Bridge Trail State Park follows a former Norfolk Southern corridor — the centerpiece is a half-mile-long bridge rising 125 feet above the Appomattox River gorge.
You do not need to ride all 31 miles; park at High Bridge or Farmville and do an out-and-back of 4–8 miles.
