The Exchange Place Fall Festival transforms this meticulously preserved 1850s farm into a living museum of antebellum Appalachian life, with costumed interpreters demonstrating open-hearth cooking, wool spinning, blacksmithing, and other period skills. Heritage breeds of livestock roam the property as visitors explore the restored log structures. Traditional Appalachian music fills the air throughout the weekend event. A beloved regional tradition that has been drawing families for over four decades.
