NRA Whittling & Primitive Skills Workshop

Bays Mountain Park hosts this hands-on primitive skills workshop covering traditional woodcarving, fire-starting techniques, natural navigation, and other ancestral outdoor competencies under the guidance of certified wilderness skills instructors. Participants of all ages work with traditional tools to create functional carved items they take home as lasting souvenirs. The park's forest setting provides authentic immersion in the natural environment where these skills were developed over centuries. Pre-registration required as class size is limited to ensure individualized instruction.
