This interpretive walking tour of Greeneville's remarkable Civil War heritage explores sites connected to the deeply divided county that sent soldiers to both armies, including the location where Confederate General John Hunt Morgan was killed in 1864. Costumed guides lead participants through the historic district, stopping at key sites with storytelling that illuminates Greene County's complex wartime experience. The tour concludes at the General Morgan Inn with light refreshments. An educational and emotionally resonant exploration of one of the Civil War's most divided communities.
