A charity cold-water plunge into Boone Lake in January benefiting Special Olympics Tennessee, with costumed participants leaping into frigid reservoir water before a cheering crowd of supporters. Teams compete for best costume, most funds raised, and largest group. Post-plunge warming stations, hot food vendors, and a live DJ keep the energy high despite the January temperatures. One of the most visually entertaining and charitably impactful winter community events in the Tri-Cities annual calendar.
