Winged Deer Park Boat Launch on Boone Lake · 199 Carroll Creek Rd, Johnson City, TN 37601
The third annual Blake Hopson Memorial Big Bass Tournament returns to Boone Lake. Anglers register and weigh in at the Winged Deer Park boat launch.
Entry: $50 per participant. An optional $10 side pot covers "trash fish," meaning any species other than largemouth, smallmouth or spotted bass.
Payouts: $1,000 for the overall big bass and $100 for the trash fish pot winner. Hourly big bass payouts are $100 for first and $75 for second, with one fish weighed each hour. Additional prizes depend on turnout.
Rules: Tennessee bass regulations and length limits apply, and live bait is not allowed.
Barbecue plate lunches will be sold starting at 10:30 AM, and tournament merchandise will be available.
