The Nolichucky River flows through Greene County in a broad, pastoral valley before dropping into the dramatic Nolichucky Gorge, offering flatwater paddling, excellent smallmouth bass fishing, and scenic riverside access from multiple public launch points. Canoeing and kayaking the upper Nolichucky through Greene County is a relaxing float through some of the most beautiful agricultural valley scenery in East Tennessee.
