The oldest college in Tennessee, chartered in 1794, Tusculum University's historic campus in Greeneville features a remarkable collection of 19th-century academic architecture including the 1841 Old College building and the Doak House Museum, home of the university's founding president. The campus's living collection of mature trees and Federal-style brick buildings creates one of the most atmospheric historic academic landscapes in the Southeast. Guided tours of the Doak House are available to the public.
