Commercial outfitter shuttle and rental services for paddling the legendary Nolichucky River Gorge — a Class III–IV whitewater run through a remote 2,000-foot-deep gorge on the Greene/Unicoi county line that is one of the crown jewels of Appalachian whitewater. Guided rafting trips, self-guided kayak rentals, and shuttle-only services for experienced paddlers are available. The Nolichucky gorge section passes through a roadless wilderness accessible only by river or hiking trail.
