Virginia's last water-powered gristmill still grinding cornmeal and flour in commercial operation, White's Mill has continuously served the Abingdon area since 1790, powered by a stream running through Washington County VA farmland. Visitors can watch the mill's stone burrs in operation, purchase fresh-ground cornmeal and wheat flour, and explore the adjacent nature trail through the mill pond corridor. A working historical landmark of extraordinary significance to Appalachian agricultural heritage.
