A developing network of paved and natural surface trails connecting Greeneville's parks, schools, and residential neighborhoods through the Nolichucky River corridor and adjacent greenway areas. The trail system provides car-free active transportation routes for cyclists and pedestrians while offering wildlife habitat corridors along creek bottomlands. Ongoing expansion phases are funded through a combination of local, state, and federal trail grants. The growing network is strengthening Greeneville's identity as a walkable and bikeable small city in the Appalachian Highlands.
