The Town of Jonesborough and The Jackson Theatre are excited to announce the return of Doc’s Front Porch during the 56th Annual Jonesborough Days celebration on July 3 and 4.
Sponsored by Eastman Credit Union, Doc’s Front Porch will take place inside The Jackson Theatre from noon to 7 p.m. each day. Festival attendees are invited to step inside, cool off, enjoy complimentary entertainment, grab a snack from the concession stand, use public restrooms, and experience an outstanding lineup of live music and storytelling performances. No tickets are required.
A longtime Jonesborough Days tradition, Doc’s Front Porch offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where visitors can enjoy performances from talented musicians and storytellers throughout the day.
Performance Schedule
Friday, July 3
12:00–12:45 p.m. – The First and Last Town in Tennessee, an original play written by Anne G’Fellers-Mason, McKinney Center Program Director, commemorating America’s 250th Anniversary.
1:00–1:45 p.m. – Momma Molasses
2:00–3:00 p.m. –Jackson Theatre Tour
3:00–3:30 p.m. – Catherine Yael Serota (Storyteller)
3:30–4:00 p.m. – Wallace Shealy (Storyteller)
4:15–5:00 p.m. – Jazz Exchange
5:15–6:00 p.m. – Jimmie D. Band
6:15–7:00 p.m. – Mr. Fancy

Doc’s Front Porch is free to attend and is included as part of the Jonesborough Days festival experience. The performances showcase the storytelling and musical traditions that make Jonesborough unique while providing visitors with a comfortable place to relax and enjoy local and regional talent.
