Join us for Crockett Days 2026! Just like last year we'll be hosting this year's event at the Doak House Museum in Tusculum. Come enjoy the same fantastic weekend full of history and fun, just in a different location! We look forward to seeing you! Join us for a fun filled, historical extravaganza as we showcase the history of East TN! Blacksmithing, Tomahawk Throwing, Basket Weaving, Doak House Museum Tours, Everyone's Favorite Donkeys Jack and Jenny, and so much more! Come out and join us in celebrating Tennessee's favorite son, Davy Crockett's 240th Birthday! Welcome to Crockett Days! Saturday, August 8th, 2026: 9:00am - 9:30am - Opening Ceremony: Kick off the day with a warm welcome and opening remarks surrounded by nature's beauty. 10:00am -11:00am - Edible and Medicinal Plant Hike: Explore the forest’s pharmacy and pantry with a guided hike on native edible and healing plants. Meet at Gathering Tent with hike to follow. 11:00am - 11:45am - English Country Dancing: Learn the graceful steps of traditional English country dances in a lively group setting. Meet at the Rear Yard. 11:45am - 12:30pm - 18th Century Children’s Games: Bring the past to life with playful games that kept frontier kids laughing and learning. Meet at the Rear Yard. 11:00am - 11:30am - 18th Century Firearms: Get an up-close look at historical weaponry and learn how early frontiersmen lived and fought. Meet at Long Hunter Camp. 11:00am - 12:00pm - The Life & Times of David Crockett of Tennessee: This is the reason we are all out here. Hear the story of Tennessee’s favorite son, Davy Crockett! Meet at Gathering Tent. 12:00pm - 1:00pm - The Story of the Overmountain Men: Hear the bold tale of the Overmountain Men and their pivotal role in American independence. Meet at Gathering Tent. 1:00pm - 2:30pm - Friends Group Benefit Auction: Bid on unique items while supporting a great cause at this lively benefit auction. Meet at Gathering Tent. 2:30pm - 3:00pm - Flint and Steel Fire Making: Witness sparks fly as you learn how early settlers started fires the old-fashioned way. Meet at Long Hunter Camp 3:00pm - 3:30pm - East TN & Western NC in the Revolution: Join Author Michael Hardy as he delves into how the folks of the backwoods helped the Colonies win their Independence. Meet at Gathering Tent. Sunday, August 9th, 2026: 10:00am - 11:00am - Frontier Church Service: Gather in worship as settlers once did, with a simple and reverent frontier-style church service. Meet at Gathering Tent. 11:
