Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia, August 2026 - Theatre Bristol’s Cathy DeCaterina School of Theatre Arts presents a Stage Combat workshop on Saturday, September 19 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Theatre Bristol, 512 State Street, Bristol, TN. Tuition is $15 and registration is online at www.TheatreBristol.org/tbarts. Registration closes one hour prior to the workshop.
Age Limit : 12 and Up
Learn how to throw punches, slap, kick, stomp, pull hair and more without leaving a mark! Camille Gray teaches the fundamentals of unarmed hand-to-hand stage combat in this workshop. Even if you've performed stage combat before, come brush up on your technique, review the rules, and learn and perform a fun combo!
The Cathy DeCaterina School of Theatre Arts is open to all ages and experience levels seeking to improve their theatre skills, build confidence, prepare for upcoming productions, or enjoy just for fun!
A range of classes and workshops are taught for children and adults with topics for artists who want to be onstage, backstage, or both. Workshops include acting, musical theatre dance, costume design, set design, lighting and sound design, understanding scripts, directing, stage management, makeup, choral singing, dialects, creative dramatics, and more. Audition workshops run periodically featuring the directors of upcoming Theatre Bristol productions. New workshops are added regularly.
The workshop is part of Theatre Bristol’s 2026 Season of comedies, dramas, and musicals, including "American Tall Tales" with River’s Way, "Charlotte's Web," "Grease," "Red, White and Tuna," "The Mockingbird Sings," "Deathtrap" and "It's a Wonderful Life"; and the Cathy DeCaterina School of Theatre Arts classes; "The SpongeBob Musical": Youth Edition; PLAYtime in the ARTspace; The StART of Adventure summer camp; and audition and stagecraft workshops.
