This organized group hiking event explores the spectacular Iron Mountain range that defines Johnson County's ridgeline horizon, with guided hikes on Forest Service trails offering stunning views into both Tennessee and Virginia. Trail maintenance volunteer work hours in the morning are followed by guided hikes to summit overlooks. The event is coordinated by the Cherokee National Forest and the local hiking community. Iron Mountain's trails are among the most scenic and least-crowded in the entire Tri-Cities region.
