This organized trail maintenance and community hiking weekend focuses on the breathtaking Roan Highlands section of the Appalachian Trail, including the famous balds of Jane Bald and Round Bald with their 360-degree panoramic views. Volunteers contribute trail maintenance hours in the morning before guided group hikes to the AT's most spectacular Tennessee viewpoints in the afternoon. The Tennessee Eastman Hiking Club and AT Conservancy coordinate the event. An ideal introduction to the legendary Roan Highlands for first-time visitors.
