This growing annual festival celebrates the Nolichucky River's exceptional recreational value with kayak and canoe races, guided float trips, environmental education booths, and family outdoor activities along one of East Tennessee's most scenic river corridors. The Nolichucky Gorge downstream is nationally known for Class IV whitewater rafting, and the festival showcases the broader river ecosystem.
