🏛️ Local Government
In Tennessee, vehicle registration and title work goes through your county clerk. New licenses, REAL ID upgrades, and first-time permits require a TN Driver Services Center (DMV). Many renewals can be done online at tn.gov.
Quick guide: • Vehicle tags & titles → your county clerk (see listings below) • New/renewed driver license or REAL ID → nearest Driver Services Center • Sullivan County residents can renew licenses at the Blountville county clerk express office (not new licenses) • Online: renew tags at county clerk portals; some license renewals at tn.gov • Bring proof of identity, residency, and Social Security for REAL ID
